What is The Major Series 2012?
Are you ready to take on The Major’s Challenge?!
The Major is all about character. It's not just a run. It's a major challenge. Running, Mud, Water, Hills, Obstacles. You mustn't let any of them stand in your way.
The Major has posted his troops around his course. Their mission is to push and encourage you through the course. Climb through Private Talbot’s Trench. Skid down Corporal Sander’s Slide. Tackle Lieutenant Hardy’s Hills and wade through Sergeant Mallory’s Mud Pit.
Whether you’re looking for a new challenge, fundraising for charity or just craving a wet and muddy experience, we guarantee you’ll love the experience. Choose from the 5k(ish) option or the 10k(ish) option, and come with enthusiasm and a smile to join the Major and his Troops for a Saturday morning in the country!
North - 3rd March 2012
The Major - North
From £22.00 includes free event t-shirt and goodie bag
Date: Saturday 3 March 2012 (10:00hrs start time)
Venue: Bramham Park, Nr. Leeds, LS23 6ND. Map »
The Major has secured you and his troops exclusive access to Bramham Park for the Northern race. Bramham Park is home to a grand and imposing Stately home which is a stunning sight to see, but the Major picked it for some other reasons - for its multitude of muddy bogs, rough off-road tracks and thickly wooded areas that will give even the toughest of the Northerners a run for their money! The course is varied and the Major’s troops will be treating you to some surprises along the way! All of which mean you'll need to dig deep, and climb high to complete this course.
